Tire Inflation
Your vehicle has a recommended tire pressure
and load limit that will maximize fuel efficiency and safety.
In fact, keeping your tires properly inflated can improve
your fuel efficiency up to 3% - that can be $0.07 per gallon
or more!
Steps for maintaining proper tire pressure
- Find your recommended tire pressure on your left
front door post, glovebox door, or inside your trunk
lid
- Check your tires with a gauge
- If pressure is too high, release air until you get
to the correct pressure
- If pressure is too low, add the missing pounds of
air pressure to each tire that is under inflated
- Recheck all the tires to make sure they have the
correct air pressure
Check your tire pressure once a month.
As temperatures drop, tire pressure decreases.
Check when tires are cold. This will give you the most accurate
pressure reading.
